What holds a life together when the ground keeps shifting? And who decided the ground would shift in the first place? The work that survives the crossing is never the work that travels smoothly. It is the work that maintains its opacity, what Édouard Glissant called the right to opacity.

Tender Archives is built from that untranslatability. It brings together artists whose practices operate in the minor key. These are not stylistic choices; they are acts of redrawing the boundaries of visibility under pressure.

A single diasporic artist at ART021 can be tokenised. Fifteen cannot. The multiplicity is the argument. Tender Archives asks what is extracted in the name of exchange, what is smoothed over in the name of accessibility, and what holds its ground.
